Pochetinno, a no-nonsense centre-back during his playing career, recalled when he flipped playing for Paris St-Germain.
“Their striker was big and naughty,” he said. “My team-mate was Gabby Heinze who played for Manchester United. I told Gabby the next time the ball came in the air he should move aside.
“I jumped and put the feet on his neck and when I put the studs there, I closed my eyes.
“Straight away I said to myself, ‘what have I done?’. I was 27, the captain of Paris St-Germain, all I could do was say ‘sorry’.”
