Tottenham are lining up a move for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud, according to reports in Germany.
The 20-year-old has become a regular fixture in Andre Schubert’s side this season, scoring four goals in 35 appearances.
According to Bild, Mauricio Pochettino has sent his scouts to Germany on regular occasions to check out the Under-21 international and Spurs are now plotting a summer move.
Monchengladbach are reluctant to sell one of their prized assets but could be tempted by a fee of around £23m.
Dahoud, who was born in Syria, signed for Monchengladbach from Dusseldorf in 2011 and has a contract with the club until 2018.
