Tottenham have been given a boost in their pursuit of former Liverpool ace Suso after his contract talks at AC Milan hit a snag.
The San Siro giants are working hard on a new deal for the 23-year-old schemer in a bid to ward off the interest from Spurs.
As talkSPORT told you this week, Milan are hoping to get a new contract signed and sealed before the transfer window opens to avoid any bids from north London.
But now, according to reports in Italy, Suso’s future has been plunged into doubt after he demanded a higher annual salary than initially agreed.
It has been claimed that the forward had accepted a deal worth around £2million per year but now, after interest in him from across Europe, he now wants closer to £2.5m in order to put pen to paper.
That should not be too much of a problem for Milan but it may give Spurs the opportunity to firm up their interest with a bid for Suso, who remains under contract until 2019.
