Tottenham’s Harry Kane has the potential to be a better striker than Luis Suarez, according to Arsenal legend Ray Parlour.
Former Liverpool star Suarez is one of the most deadly forwards on the planet having notched an incredible 92 goals in just 106 games for Barcelona.
Parlour says Kane has some way go to match the Uruguayan’s level but he insists the Spurs and England star, currently sidelined through injury, has what it takes to develop into a superior all-round striker.
The 23-year-old has scored more than 20 Premier League goals for the past two successive seasons and was the top-flight’s leading marksman in 2015/16.
Parlour, speaking on talkSPORT, said: “Would Harry Kane be better than Suarez at the moment? Probably not. But he could develop into a better player than Suarez – he has got all the attributes to do that.
“He is a great finisher, his work rate is excellent as well, just like Suarez. Harry is certainly a player who can be the future for England.”
