Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino announces his future plans amid Man United interest

But Spurs chairman Daniel Levy wants to tie Pochettino to a new five-year deal worth over £100,000 a week, despite his current one having three full seasons left.

Pressed whether he wanted to commit himself to the club Pochettino said: “Yes, why not?

“You build a new stadium, you start to build a relationship, an emotional relationship. I think we’re a team.

“It’s not only important the money, it’s important the emotional link you create with the people here.”
