Tottenham are ready to offer Eric Dier a new five-year contract worth £70,000-per-week to ward off interest in the midfielder.
The 22-year-old excelled for club and country last season, forcing his way into the England set-up with his performances for Spurs before emerging from Euro 2016 as one of the very few Three Lions’ players who could be proud of their showings in France.
Dier’s excellent contribution in the centre of midfield led to him being linked with a big money move to Bayern Munich, with the German’s boss Carlo Ancelotti describing him as one of the best midfielders at the European Championships.
Spurs are desperate not to lose the former Sporting Lisbon youngster and are now prepared to offer him an improved contract, despite the Englishman only signing a five-year deal last summer.
The reported new contract will see Dier become one of the best paid players at White Hart Lane and tie him to the north London outfit until 2021.
