Mauricio Pochettino’s side were left embarrassed last season as they finished third in their group.
Spurs were forced to play their European games at Wembley last season although they will now play every home fixture this term – including Premier League – at the national stadium.
Pochettino and several members of his squad have claimed the Wembley record is not an issue and Eriksen is adamant his team will show an improvement when they take on Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night.
He told the London Evening Standard: “We are in a different situation and we have matured as a team a bit.
“We know what it was like last year so we know what to change and keep the same. I don’t think football-wise or tactical-wise there will be many changes, I think it is about mentally being where we are now.
“Everyone is really motivated to show the world that we are a bit better than we were last season.”
