*The rankings are worked out by multiplying the number of league goals scored by a factor based on the competitive level of the competition.
That means that goals scored in the top ranking UEFA leagues – Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese and English top flights – are multiplied by two, while domestic championships in the level below see goals multiplied by 1.5 and Europe’s weakest divisions are multiplied by one
