Swansea are reported to be weighing up a move for Newcastle United left-back Gideon Adu-Peprah, while Leicester are also interested.
The 17-year-old is currently halfway through a two-year scholarship after arriving from Manchester City, but he has yet to be offered a professional deal and that could allow the Swans to nip in.
The Ghanaian lasted just 20 minutes of this first-team debut against Swansea after picking up an injury, while he has managed just eight appearances for the under-21s.
However he is still very highly-rated and reports are rife that Swansea are lining up a move for the player, who would consider a move away from St James’ Park.
Adu-Peprah may feel he has a better route to the first-team at the Liberty Stadium, and much could also depend on whether the Magpies win their battle to stay in the Premier League.
