Newcastle could face a battle to keep hold of Georginio Wijnaldum as a number of top Italian clubs are chasing his signature.
The Dutchman has this week hinted he could look to leave St James’ Park if the club are relegated to the Championship and there will be no shortage of offers should that be the case.
“IÂ’m not interested in giving information about my contract,” he was quoted as saying. “IÂ’m not thinking about the end of the season, IÂ’m only focused on the next match.
“The club is working hard to make everything good, and IÂ’m sure things will go well.”
However the Dutchman is sure to be interested in the news that Serie A clubs Inter Milan, AS Roma and Juventus are all reported to be keeping tabs on his situation.
Wijnaldum has scored nine goals for Newcastle this season and the Magpies could do with a few more as they look to fight their way out of relegation trouble.
