Crystal Palace are reported to be showing an interest in Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko despite his £35million price tag.
Sissoko is being heavily linked with a move away from St James’ Park after the Magpies were relegated to the Championship but they will not let him go on the cheap.
Newcastle are under no pressure to sell and are reported to have slapped a massive £35million valuation on his head in the hope it will scare off any interested parties.
Palace boss Alan Pardew has more cash than ever to spend but he is not willing to go that high for the France international, who starred at Euro 2016.
However, Pardew will be hoping that the price will come down as the summer progresses and a pre-deadline swoop cannot be completely ruled out.
Arsenal are also interested but they are also unwilling to pay what Newcastle are asking and will monitor the situation from afar.
