Arsenal look sure to be scared off making a move for Moussa Sissoko after Newcastle slapped a £35million price tag on his head.
Sissoko is pushing for a move away from St James’ Park after the Magpies were relegated to the Championship and the Gunners are among the interested clubs.
The France international would also jump at the chance to join Arsenal after admitting on more than one occasion that it would be his dream move, but a deal looks unlikely.
Sissoko may have disappointed for Newcastle last season but he impressed at Euro 2016 with France and the Magpies are said to be demanding £35million.
Arsene Wenger is keen to add some steel to his midfield and has cash to spend but is unlikely to go that high when N’Golo Kante could be available at £20million.
