Toby Alderweireld says the disappointment amongst the players after the draw at Liverpool proves how far they have come.
Spurs lost ground to Leicester City, with the draw at Anfield meaning the Foxes are now seven points clear at the top of the Premier League.
The Belgium centre-half says the level of frustration proves just how far they have come and underlines the fact they expect to win every game.
He told the club’s website: “The second half was better than the first, I think we could have punished them more and in the end itÂ’s not a bad result at Anfield but, of course, we wanted to win.
“That’s how the team is now – if you don’t win at Anfield you’re disappointed. That says enough about the group we have but nevertheless I think we put on a good performance on the pitch.
“ThatÂ’s the way we have to play and I think that’s when we are at our strongest.”
