Hull look set to face competition from Newcastle United as they attempt to bring Arsenal defender Isaac Hayden back to the club.
Hayden joined the Tigers last summer on a season-long loan deal and played 18 games as they won promotion back to the top flight through the play-offs.
There have been suggestions that boss Steve Bruce would like to take him back on loan for next season’s Premier League campaign, but the Gunners may be reluctant to do a deal.
Arsene Wenger would want assurances over the amount of game time he would get, and Bruce cannot give any guarantees with Premier League survival at stake.
Regular Championship football could be the way forward and that would make Newcastle favourites, while Queens Park Rangers are also said to be in the running.
