Hull City remain in the hunt to sign striker Steven Fletcher following his release from Sunderland and could do battle with Celtic.
Tigers boss Steve Bruce has yet to make a new signing, and reports are suggesting all is not well behind the scenes as owner Assem Allam looks to sell the club to new owners.
However that is not stopping speculation linking Hull with a host of new signings and Fletcher still appears to be on Bruce’s radar as he looks to bolster his attack.
Bruce tried to sign the Scotland international last time Hull were in the Premier League but Sunderland refused to sell to a relegation rival and he stayed where he was.
Now he is available on a free and Bruce is back in the hunt, although Celtic are also keen, along with Norwich and Sheffield Wednesday.
“Hopefully I’ll have a few options,” Fletcher said recently. “I’ve not even thought about my future. I’ve not had much contact with anyone yet.”
