Tennis fan Younes Kaboul ready to serve up something special in Sunderland survival scrap

Sunderland looked a lost cause before Sam Allardyce’s arrival in October.

“Since he took over, we saw things differently straight away,” he said. “I think he’s someone who knows this league better than his own family.

“Because he’s been around for such a long time and he knows exactly how to er…I would say upset other teams.

“He’s really behind us, really committed to this club and he’s putting everything out there to stay up. We’re going forward.”

Kaboul hopes that on the final day of the season, he’s celebrating along with the Spurs team-mates he left behind.

“I have a few very close friends there and I’ll be happy for them if they win the title but obviously, for me the focus is Sunderland.

“We are confident because we have experienced players here and some quality so there is hope.”
