James Maddison believes Norwich will give him the perfect platform to take the next step in his career ahead of his summer move.
The Canaries announced on transfer deadline day that they had completed a £2.5million deal, potentially rising to £9million with add-ons, with Coventry for exciting 19-year-old Maddison.
The midfielder was allowed to stay with the League One side on loan for the rest of the season but will make the switch to Norfolk come the summer.
Having finally met his new boss and squad on Monday, as well as getting a look round Norwich’s facilities, Maddison is excited for what the future holds, claiming Carrow Road seems like the perfect place to develop as a player.
“I’ve been with Ricky (Martin) today and meeting all the staff and the players and the stadium and I’m really enjoying it so far,” he told the club’s official site. “Norwich City is a massive club and I am really looking forward to the challenge for next season. Right now, I have to focus on Coventry City but I am really looking forward to the summer.
“It was a hectic day. The deal only got done with a few minutes to go (to the deadline) but I am happy to be here now. I think this is the right club for me. They have a young, hungry manager who is going to have a good managerial career in the game and it was the right next step for me.”
