Benitez did not enjoy a succesful debut as the Foxes beat the Magpies 1-0 thanks to a stunning overhead kick by Shinji Okazaki.  Newcastle did show signs of improvement though and came close to an equaliser with Ayoze Perez and Moussa Sissoko.
