Claude Puel has revealed he’s weighing up using Dusan Tadic in a more advanced role behind the strikers at Southampton this season.
Puel has been busy assessing his players over the summer and, with just a week to go before the new Premier League campaign begins, the new boss says he could utilise Serbia international Tadic in the No.10 position because he has the attributes to shine in that role.
“I think Tadic is interesting in this position because he can turn and go quickly,” Puel said.
“He can give good passes for the striker. I think it’s a good position for him. He wants to make progress all the time in the games step by step.
“I’m sure that Dusan is going to make a very good season.”
Tadic has excelled in the Premier League since joining Saints from FC Twente two years ago, scoring 12 Premier League goals from 64 appearances in midfield.
