Swansea defender Franck Tabanou has ruled out a move away from the club and has vowed to fight for his first-team place.
Tabanou has struggled to force his way into the Swans first-team and was expected to leave the club before the closure of the transfer window to go in search of more regular action.
However, he has now had a change of heart and is determined to win his place in the side.
“I’ve decided to stay. I know that this year I will get the chance of a place in the first XI and the chance to keep it,” he said. “It’s true that at first I was put a little away from the pro group, I haven’t participated in July in pre-season training in the United States.
“But I remained professional, I continued to work and over the weeks I showed my intention to try to impose myself here. And slowly, I returned to the pro group.
“I have also worked more physically, because I didn’t play any friendly matches, to return to the top and take off in the Premier League. The staff also made me understand that I had to keep working to get ready for my chance.”
