Swansea have learned it will cost them £10million if they are serious about bringing Joe Allen back to the Liberty from Liverpool.
The speculation surrounding Allen’s future at Anfield stepped up a notch this week when Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins openly admitted the club would like to re-sign the central midfielder.
Allen, who impressed during Wales’ Euro 2016 victory over Slovakia on Sunday, has 12 months left to run on his current contract with the Reds and it remains to be seen whether he will extend his stay.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is said to be a fan of the 26-year-old, who joined from the Swans for £15million in 2012, but the latest speculation suggests the club could be willing to let Allen leave.
The Merseysiders are thought to have informed Swansea an offer of £10million could be enough for them to part ways with Allen.
