Swansea star tells his team-mates: We must get back to basics

The Welsh club have not won in the Premier League since the opening day of the campaign, and were dumped out of the EFL Cup by Pep Guardiola’s City side in midweek.

Francesco Guidolin has tinkered with his team’s set-up, playing three different formations in the last three games in an effort to get them back to winning ways.

But club stalwart Rangel, 33, believes keeping the game simple and going back to the 4-2-3-1 system used against City, which has served Swansea so well over the last decade and more, is the way to go if they are to get out of trouble.

“To turn things around we are going to need unity, communication, to honest with each other, focus on the simple things,” he said.
