Swansea are trying to hijack Fernando Llorente’s proposed move from Sevilla to Real Sociedad.
The Welsh club are on the hunt for a new striker, with Bafetimbi Gomis set to join Marseille on loan in the coming days.
Signing Llorente would be a significant coup for Swansea but they believe a loan move with a view to a permanent deal represents an attractive proposition for the Spaniard.
According to IUSport, Sociedad remain hot favourites to land Llorente but Sevilla are now considering the offer Swansea have tabled.
Swansea have reportedly offered the 31-year-old a pay rise if he moves to the Liberty Stadium, but an immediate permanent move to a club in Spain is also proving to be tempting for the towering forward.
