Swansea triumphed in what was one of the most boring matches of the Premier League this year.
Chances were amiss for the entirety of the first half at the Liberty Stadium with both sides failing to create anything of note.
Thankfully the fans were treated to a better second half. Gylfi Sigurdsson scored what turned out to be the winner just after the hour mark, with a moment of real class driving a shot low, into the bottom corner after being picked out by a good Leroy Fer pass.
In what was a cagey affair between two relegation threatened, Norwich didn’t look like stealing a point until Nathan Redmond drove inches past the post late on.
Swansea managed to hold on to secure what could be a crucial three points and have now opened up a nine-point advantage over the bottom three, while Norwich remain deep in the mire after their winless run stretched to 10 matches in all competitions.
