Alberto Paloschi is set to end his brief spell with Swansea to join Italian side Atalanta, according to the Premier League club.
Paloschi only signed for the Swans from Chievo in January on a three-and-a-half-year deal for a fee thought to be around £8million.
The 26-year-old Italian went on to score two goals in 10 appearances for the Welsh outfit and has opted to accept a new challenge back in Italy.
On Friday, Swansea confirmed the deal via their official website and wished the striker well with the rest of his career.
The statement said: “Swansea City striker Alberto Paloschi has agreed to join Serie A club Atalanta for an undisclosed fee, with the transfer set to be completed on July 1.
“Everyone at Swansea City would like to thank Alberto for his services and wish him well for the future.”
