Swansea are reported to be showing an interest in Reading midfielder Danny Williams with a view to a summer swoop.
The 27-year-old, who has spent the last three years with Reading, has just 12 months left to run on his current deal and has no interest in extending his contract, prompting the Championship side to make him available.
The Swans are keeping tabs on his situation but they will face strong competition from elsewhere with reports claiming that Newcastle and Sunderland are also keen.
Newcastle are said to have already made contact with Williams’ representatives but Swansea and Sunderland hold the trump cards as they can offer the player Premier League football.
Aston Villa are also thought to be interested in Williams as they target a sharp return to the top flight and the player has a tricky decision on his hands.
