Sunderland are considering a summer swoop for Real Betis goalkeeper Antonio Adan.
The 28-year-old has impressed in La Liga this season and was linked with a move to Liverpool during the January transfer window.
Betis want to keep hold of the Spaniard but he can leave in the summer if someone meets his £6m release clause.
That, according to Marca, has sparked interest from Sunderland and they are now considering making an offer at the end of the season.
The Black Cats sold Costel Pantilimon to Watford in January and are on the hunt for a new goalkeeper.
Adan, who came through the ranks at Real Madrid, is now Sunderland’s top target but they are likely to face strong competition.
