Sunderland will accept a fee of around £2m for wantaway playmaker Emanuele Giaccherini with a number of Italian clubs queuing up to land him.
The Italy international spent last season on loan at Bologna after former Black Cats boss Dick Advocaat deemed him surplus to requirements at the Stadium of Light.
According to Calcio Mercato, Lazio, Fiorentina and Sampdoria are all ready to make a bid for the 31-year-old after hearing about Sunderland’s asking price.
Sam Allardyce is keen to get Giaccherini off Sunderland’s wage books this summer to free up further space for a squad overhaul as he looks to avoid another relegation-threatened season.
Giaccherini joined Sunderland from Juventus in 2013 but managed just five goals in 43 appearances for the North East club.
