Sturgeon’s dream of independent Scotland in TATTERS as nation’s OIL CURSE continues

In the last two years, 100,000 people have lost their jobs in the industry while another 360,0000 have taken hefty pay cuts of around 20 per cent across Scotland.

Those who have kept their jobs are spending more and more time on off-shore oil rigs rather than home with their families.

Aberdeen’s population has declined by 15 per cent since the oil market crash in late 2014, while house prices have similarly plummeted.

More students and young professionals are now planning to leave the city than remain.
