But with most of his squad facing big pay cuts in the Championship, Neil said getting them fired up for the games won’t be a problem.

He added: “The players just have to focus on the position we are in. If we do manage to stay up then they are probably going to benefit more than anyone else.

“So I don’t think it will be very difficult to raise them for the game.

“They know they are playing for themselves, their families and their futures, nothing else.

“We have a job to do against Watford and if we don’t win then everything else becomes irrelevant.
