Marcus Rashford has informed Man Utd he would like to wait to discuss a new contract after the youngster was offered fresh terms.
The 18-year-old has grabbed the headlines in United’s last two outings, scoring a brace in both matches against FC Midtjylland and Arsenal to put himself firmly on the map.
The starlet’s rash of goals has lead to speculation United want to hand him a new and improved contract with Rashford’s current deal reportedly netting him £1,500-per-week.
That contract is due to expire in 2017 and the Red Devils have now tabled a deal worth around £10,000-per-week in the hope of seeing the teenager commit his future to the club.
However, the Daily Mirror claim Rashford has informed United he wants to hold off discussing a new deal until the end of the season in the hope he proves himself further in what is left of the campaign and earn an even better contract.
