Crystal Palace continue to be linked with Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar, but the player’s agent has played down talk of a move.
The Eagles were heavily linked with a move for the 22-year-old during the January transfer window as boss Alan Pardew looked to bolster his attack, but a deal failed to materialise.
Pardew will step up his attempts to sign a new striker when the window re-opens in the summer, and the Ivory Coast international could be targeted once again.
Southampton are also known to be keen, but the player’s agent Patrick Bastianelli says his client is fully focused on life with the Serie A side for now.
“What of Babacar’s future? We’ll see, at the moment he is contracted on the objective to be achieved with Fiorentina,” he said when quizzed about the rumours linking him with England.
Babacar has fired home seven goals in 22 appearances for Fiorentina this season and his form has caught the eye of Palace and Saints.
