West Ham striker Diafra Sakho will not be sold to Sunderland or any other club until the Hammers have signed a replacement.
West Ham boss Slaven Bilic is said to be close to signing Carlos Bacca and Sakho is unlikely to get too much game time.
The Senegal striker has handed in a transfer request at the club in order to push through a move to Sunderland who had an £11m offer turned down by the Hammers earlier this summer and he also complained of illness and did not take part in the tour of the USA.
West Ham are continuing to wait on a decision from AC Milan striker Bacca after agreeing a £26m fee with the Italian club and co-owner David Sullivan has made it clear that Sakho will not be going until they have a replacement in.
He said: “He is not for sale until we get players in. Until we bring strikers in, we simply cannot let strikers go.”
