Swansea have been told they will have to splash out £15million to have any chance of signing Enner Valencia from West Ham.
Swans boss Francesco Guidolin is stepping up his attempts to sign at least one new striker and looks set to turn his attentions to Hammers star Valencia.
Reports claim that Swansea have already failed with one bid of £10million that could increase by £3million depending on bonuses, but the Hammers want a straight £15million cash deal.
It remains to be see whether Swansea will go that high, but Bafetimbi Gomis’ impending move to Marseille could free up some extra cash and help fund a deal for Valencia.
West Ham have said they are also unwilling to let any striker move on until they have a replacement in place, so that could delay any potential move further.
