West Bromwich Albion could set a chain of striker moves in motion after reportedly agreeing a £16m fee with West Ham for Diafra Sakho.
Negotiations between the two clubs over the 26-year-old have been ongoing since the end of last season and Sky Sports now claim the fee has been agreed.
And Albion’s capture of the Senegal international could hasten the departure of Saido Berahino, while West Ham are expected to splash the cash on Swansea City’s Andre Ayew.
Berahino remains a target for Stoke City and Crystal Palace with both clubs rumoured to have tabled bids of £20m for the ex-England Under-21 striker.
Sakho handed in a transfer request in July after Sunderland had an £11m bid rejected by the Hammers and subsequently refused to travel with the rest of Slaven Bilic’s squad for their pre-season tour of Austria.
Baggies head coach Tony Pulis has enjoyed success with Senegalese players in the past and once had five on the books at Stoke.
