Striker deal no go

Arsenal are reported to have been priced out of a move for Alexandre Lacazette, meaning more frustration for boss Arsene Wenger.

Wenger is doing all he can to add a new striker to his ranks this summer, but he is having little success so far after missing out on Leicester’s Jamie Vardy for starters

Now it looks as though a move for Lyon star Lacazette is also a none starter.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with the 25-year-old but Lyon’s valuation of 50million euros (approx £42m) has seen the Gunners cool their interest.

French champions PSG have also been tipped to make a move but reports in France indicate they are yet to make contact with Lyon regarding the forward.

Arsenal are now ready to turn their attentions elsewhere but they could yet return for Lacazette if manager Arsene Wenger cannot secure the signing of a marquee striker this summer.
