Stoke are threatening to pull the plug on a deal for Egyptian forward Ramadan Sobhi unless Al Ahly accept the offer on the table.
Stoke boss Mark Hughes is keen to land the exciting 19-year-old and a £3.5million bid was lodged some weeks ago, but they have yet to receive an answer one way or the other.
Reports claim that Al Ahly want double what Stoke have offered and Sobhi’s agent, Nader Shawky, blames their boss Martin Jol for the deal not going through.
Shawky claimed: “The proposal is there for Al Ahly to accept. It has been for three weeks now and Stoke are getting sick of this. Jol doesn’t want Ramadan to leave. He’s the one keeping the deal from happening because Ramadan is a superb player.
“Stoke have informed me that Al Ahly need to reply to the offer in 72 hours or else they will pull out of the deal.”
