Stoke and Crystal Palace will continue the battle to sign Saido Berahino with the Potters set to launch a counter-bid for the striker.
Now that Tottenham are out of the picture, it appears to be a straight battle between the Eagles and the Potters for the signature of the West Brom striker.
Stoke appeared to be in the box seat after launching a £17million bid plus £3million of add ons, but Palace trumped it by offering £20million plus the same £3million in bonuses.
West Brom are delighted that a bidding war has started as reports are rife that Stoke will go back with another offer that will be closer to their £25million valuation.
The figures are quite staggering considering the youngster only has one year remaining on his current deal, but that will not concern the Baggies.
There is a good chance Palace and Stoke will both offer the same, then the final decision will come down to the player, who wants the move sorting as soon as possible.
