Peter Odemwingie has joined Bristol City on loan from Stoke for the remainder of the campaign.
The 34-year-old forward is available to make his debut for the Championship strugglers in Saturday’s crunch clash at Fulham.
City head coach Lee Johnson told the club’s official website: “I’m delighted we’ve been able to bring someone of Peter’s quality in; he’ll provide us with experience and hopefully goals in one form or another.
“I’m looking forward to working with him and he’ll be available for us at Fulham tomorrow.”
Odemwingie joined Stoke from Cardiff in January 2014 as part of a swap deal with Kenwyne Jones.
He featured regularly after his arrival but a knee injury ruled him out of the majority of last season.
The Nigerian returned to fitness in the summer but has made only eight appearances for the Potters this term.
Now he is set to play a key role for Bristol City as they fight to avoid relegation to League One.
The Robins are currently sitting 20th in the Championship table, just two points adrift of safety, with ten games left of the campaign.
