Stoke are reportedly set to battle it out with three other clubs for the services of out-of-favour Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini.
Stoke suffered over the course of 2015-16 due to the lack of a striker to consistently lead the line with a number of candidates playing that role.
Gabbiadini has struggled for game time since arriving at Napoli in 2015 due to leading man Gonzalo Higuain and his high scoring exploits.
The 24-year-old is understood to be on the radar of a number of clubs including Tottenham, West Ham and Wolfsburg.
However, Stoke are hoping to steal a march on their rivals and will offer a fee in the region of £15million for the six-time capped Italy international.
