Stoke: Hughes could be in hot water for ‘shove’

The Stoke manager placed his hands on Mourinho in the second half of the bet365 Stadium clash as he reacted to the visiting manager’s entrance to his technical area.

According to The Times, Hughes could be in hot water after allegedly swearing at the Portuguese tactician before then shoving him, which breaks rules put in place two years ago.

If found guilty by the Football Association’s disciplinary panel, Hughes faces a stadium ban or a hefty fine.

The Potters boss offered to shake hands with his opposite number after the match but was apparently snubbed, while it has since emerged that the Welshman also did likewise outside the dressing room area.
