Dundee forward Greg Stewart has agreed personal terms with Championship side Birmingham City and is on his way to the midlands to have a medical.
The 26-year-old, in the final year of his contract at Dens Park, had earlier rejected a move after a fee of about £500,000 plus add-ons had been agreed.
The Scot is expected to complete his move on Friday.
“He’s a player that’s up and coming and has scored a lot of goals already this season,” said Blues boss Gary Rowett.
Stewart has been on target six times this term but missed Saturday’s win over Ross County because of injury.
He has scored 32 goals since joining from Cowdenbeath in 2014.
Last month, Dundee manager Paul Hartley said: “I don’t think we can replace Greg Stewart. Hopefully we can keep him for another year, but you never know.”
Birmingham opened their Championship campaign with a goalless draw against Cardiff City on Saturday and were knocked out of the EFL Cup by Oxford United in Tuesday’s first-round tie.
