Chelsea midfielder Charly Musonda is on the wanted list of AS Roma, who are keen to sign him on loan, reports in Italy claim.
With Mohamed Salah set to be away at the Africa Cup of Nations in January with Egypt, the Giallorossi are eager to find a short-term replacement for the former Chelsea winger.
Musonda is thought to be high up on Roma’s wishlist even though the 20-year-old has struggled for fitness during a recent loan spell with La Liga outfit Real Betis.
The Belgian is now back training with Chelsea but reports in Italy suggest Roma are looking to get a deal done early in the new year and it’s unlikely the Blues will stand in the player’s way to get some more games under his belt.
Musonda will struggle to force his way into the Chelsea first-team set up this season and boss Antonio Conte will be happy for him to head to Serie A should Roma pursue a deal.
