Dimitri Payet’s agent has opened the door to a possible move away from West Ham by saying it would take ‘ridiculous money’ to sign him.
After a sensational first season with the Hammers, Payet lit up the early stages of the European Championship with a sensational winner for France against Romania on Friday night.
It has led to further speculation that someone will come in with a massive offer for the player, Chelsea were said to be ready to offer £60million at the weekend, but West Ham insist they will not sell at any price.
However, that is not exactly the same stance as his agent Mark McKay.
“As far as I am concerned, he’s been happy at West Ham and it’s down to West Ham that he’s in the position that he is in,” McKay told Sky.
“He’s doing great now for France and to get him now, you’ve got to be talking ridiculous money. But football is football, so you never know.”
