Swansea midfielder Leon Britton has suggested Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen would be interested in a return to the Liberty Stadium.
Allen left Swansea and followed former boss Brendan Rodgers to Anfield in 2012, but the move has not gone according to plan and he has struggled to make an impact with the Reds.
It has been a similar story since Jurgen Klopp took charge of the Merseyside outfit, and Britton has revealed his former team-mate is missing life at Swansea.
Allen is due to fall out of contract at the end of next season, and Britton is refusing to rule out the possibility of him returning to the club when it expires.
“He’s maybe had a bit of a tough time at Liverpool with some of the fans, but he’s played well recently,” Britton told talkSPORT.
“He’s a very good player. I know he misses Swansea and home so it’ll be interesting to see what happens because I know his contract’s running out.”
Allen would not be short of offers though and Swansea would have to be in the Premier League to have any chance of striking a deal.
