Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is after the Dutch international and hopes to land him for around £10.5million this summer, as he looks for new frontmen to assist Harry Kane at White Hart Lane.

The 21-year-old, who scored an impressive 32 goals in all competitions for AZ last season, is believed to be very keen on a move to Spurs and the Eredivisie outfit are ready to do a deal given their current financial difficulties.

Alkmaar director Max Huiberts is expecting plenty of interest in Janssen this summer but an official offer is not yet on the table from Tottenham.

He told Voetbal International: “On one hand this is good news but on the other hand the goals will attract interest from other clubs.

“We love Vincent and would like him to stay at AZ next season. Should Vincent leave the club we will use that money to start looking for a replacement.”
