Tottenham will reportedly face competition from Juventus to sign out-of-favour Real Madrid star Isco in January.

The former Malaga playmaker has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu for several months after failing to secure a first-team spot.

He has featured in four La Liga games so far this season but Real coach Zinedine Zidane has preferred the likes of Luka Modric, James Rodriguez, Lucas Vazquez and Alvaro Morata instead of the attack-minded 24-year-old.

In the last few weeks Isco has admitted his own performances have forced him out of the first team and reports claim Spurs are planning to capitalise.

Mauricio Pochettino is understood to be keen but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy’s relationship with the Spanish giants could prove to be a stumbling block – as could rival interest from Juve which has been reported in Italy.

Levy was apparently very stubborn during the deals that saw Modric and Gareth Bale move to Madrid, which made him unpopular at the Bernabeu.
