Tottenham are reported to be lining up a surprise swoop for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha ahead of the transfer deadline.
Zaha, who has been capped twice by England, impressed at various stages for Palace last season after rejoining the club in the winter of 2015 for a reported £6million fee after struggling to make a mark at Manchester United.
Spurs are understood to be seeking at least one new winger this summer as the futures of both Heung-Min Son and Nacer Chadli remain unclear, with the duo both tipped to depart.
Reports now claim Tottenham have made an initial approach to Palace about the possibility of signing the 23-year-old before next week’s transfer deadline.
Palace boss Alan Pardew is keen to keep hold of Zaha but may be prepared to sacrifice the forward to fund deals for his own targets and a fee of around £15million – the same figure United paid to land him in 2013 – has been suggested.
