Tottenham are set to complete a £17m deal for Netherlands striker Vincent Janssen from AZ Alkmaar this week.
The 22-year-old arrived in London on Sunday for a medical.
Janssen got 27 league goals in his first campaign in the Dutch top flight last season and scored a penalty on his international debut in March – a 2-1 win over England.
Janssen will be the Premier League club’s second summer signing after Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama.
French champions Paris St-Germain and German club Wolfsburg were also reported to be interested in signing Janssen.
