Spurs could reignite their interest in Southampton’s Victor Wanyama this summer after failing with a bid for the midfielder last year.
It is understood that Saints rejected a bid from White Hart Lane for the Kenyan enforcer last August but the St Mary’s side may be more open to a sale this summer.
The 24-year-old is due to fall out of contract in 2017 and Saints could be ready to cash in, as Wanyama rejected the offer of a five-year extension during the season and is not expected to agree fresh terms with his current club.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino signed Wanyama as Southampton manager back in the summer of 2013 and is keen to be reunited with the former Celtic man.
Wanyama has been linked with a number of clubs, including Arsenal, but the fact the midfielder has worked with Pochettino previously could hand Spurs the advantage in the battle for his services.
